Site rules and terms
When I’m not typing these pages, I’m usually testing software the way I used to taste a sauce—slowly, carefully, and I don’t serve it until I’m sure it’s right. These rules keep the site helpful for everybody, including me.
How I handle comments
I read every comment before it goes live. Yours will show as “awaiting moderation” right after you post it, and then I’ll take a look, usually within a day or two. I don’t publish everything. Comments that are abusive, spammy, or just way off-topic won’t make the cut. If I decline or remove a comment, I won’t argue about it—my kitchen, my call. That said, I’m fair, and I welcome honest questions and corrections.
No warranty, plain and simple
I do my best to describe each program accurately and keep the catalog current, but RestauranteTonys is a personal guide, not a store or a support desk. I can’t guarantee that a particular app will run on your Mac, won’t conflict with something else you’ve installed, or will do exactly what you expect. You use any software you find through this site at your own risk. I’m not liable for lost files, unexpected behavior, or anything else that might go sideways. That’s the honest truth.
Comment ground rules
Keep it civil and keep it helpful. Here’s what won’t fly:
- Abuse or harassment. No personal attacks, no hate speech, no bullying. Disagree politely or move on.
- Sharing private information. Don’t post someone else’s email, phone number, address, or anything they wouldn’t want public.
- Spam and shady links. No affiliate drops, no SEO bait, and absolutely no links that point to malware or sketchy downloads. I’ll delete those on sight.
- Impersonation. Don’t pretend to be a developer, a tech support rep, or anyone you’re not. Just be yourself.
If a comment breaks these rules, I’ll remove it. Repeat offenders get blocked—no appeals, no drama.
The catalog is a notebook, not a promise
Every listing on this site reflects my own notes: version numbers, file sizes, compatibility details, and the install quirks I ran into on my own Macs. I keep older builds listed for folks running older systems, but I can’t promise those downloads will still be live on a developer’s site. Software changes fast, and I update pages when I can, not on a fixed schedule. Treat what you read here as a well-meaning friend’s advice, not a contract.
Third-party software and trademarks
All the programs, games, and plugins cataloged on RestauranteTonys belong to their respective developers. Product names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their owners. I don’t claim any affiliation with or endorsement from those companies. When you download software from a developer’s site, they’re the ones who support it, handle your data, and set their own terms. Read their privacy policies and license agreements before you install. If an app misbehaves, the developer is the right person to contact—not me.
Changes to these terms
I may update this page now and then as the site grows or my thinking shifts. When I do, I’ll note the change here, and the new version applies from the moment it’s published. If something major changes that affects how I handle your account or comments, I’ll put a notice on the homepage for a while. Using the site after an update means you’re okay with the revised terms.
